With the return of summer, the celebration of seaside fun known as Paris Plages (Paris Beaches) will be aiming to recapture the success of its previous editions. From July 6th to September 1st, 2019, a whole programme of entertainment that would be the envy of many actual seaside resorts will be provided for Parisians and visitors alike. Join in with the fun during your stay at the Hotel Albe Saint-Michel. Deckchairs, palm trees, sports, games and sunscreen ... Paris Beaches is here!
You’ll love these beaches, even without sand
Paris Plages takes over several sites such as the embankments of the Left Bank of the Seine, the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville and, of course, the three bathing areas of the Bassin de la Villette, open daily from 11:00 to 21:00. This third sand-less edition of Paris Plages will certainly confirm the popularity of these grassy spaces shaded by palm trees and equipped with all the comforts necessary for taking it easy. Mist sprays, refreshments, ice cream stands, picnic tables... nothing has been forgotten!
Activities for all
Paris Plages plans to keep you busy and having fun all summer no matter your age or interests. Sports, games and exercise activities such as beach volleyball, table football, rowing, zumba, yoga and more will help to keep you in shape. But if you prefer complete relaxation, choose a book from one of the pop-up libraries and grab a deckchair in the shade of a parasol or palm tree.
If, like most people, you think that a beach holiday isn’t complete without swimming, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make a splash in the waters of the Bassin de la Villette and cool down in this heat wave. The quality of the water is considered excellent by the health authorities and above the general European standards. So; swimming, rowing or riding a pedalo? It's up to you! Why not simply try everything?
